Hey guys, PIAM here to remind you to WEAR SUNSCREEN.

If you already do, great. If you don’t, get with the program.

But to those that HAVE been diligent with it, amazing, incredible, good luck to you. You deserve it. Now, even though you may apply sunscreen in the morning, before your makeup, we’ve gotten a lot of questions about how to re-apply without ruining your makeup. So, we did some digging.

You may already be familiar with Supergoop’s skincare line. Their main focus is in sun protection, so they have a whole line dedicated to that. From mattefying to hydrating, and even tinted sunscreen options, you have a certainly variety to choose from. To those that still don’t protect their face from the sun’s harmful UV rays, go and explore. You will find that they cater to almost every need. Plus, they also have spray on and powdered sunscreen- perfect to re-application!

But, if you don’t have the budget for a good spray-on SPF, here’s what you should do:

getting started

You can either use a beauty blender, or your fingers. But keep in mind: wash your hands before touching your face (especially if you have sensitive and acne-prone skin). Also try to keep your beauty blender as clean as possible, too. This will keep most of the bacteria away and you get a cleaner and more even application.

grab your sunscreen

Apply a nickel-sized amount to the back of your hand, and either dab your finger or the blender onto it.

& apply!

Very gently dab, don’t smear or spread. Your makeup will come off that way, so be gentle!

Extra Important Tips:

  • Use a different finger for each section of your face
  • Apply with one finger at a time
  • DO NOT put a large amount of sunscreen on your fingers unless you plan to dot it all over
your face before beginning the gentle dabbing process.
  • If you want more SPF coverage when re-applying, try getting the Juno & Co. Microfiber Velvet Sponge,
so it doesn’t soak up as much of the SPF, like a beauty blender would.
  • Re-apply every 4 hours, if you can. Sunscreen can wear off throughout the day, especially if you sweat a little.

& that’s that!

XOXO,

PIAM.
