Here’s your fashion 411

Fashion week- a time where the biggest names in fashion and beauty strut their way down the catwalk and the bustling, busy city streets of Manhattan.

The city that never sleeps certainly does not sleep on this season’s coming trends. With all the top designers, models, and influencers coming from around the world, we are sure to see some of the latest and greatest designs.

But one thing’s for certain: there’s been a common trend amongst all the designers, and it has nothing to do with mini bags or the color green. In fact, it’s got to do with makeup.

That’s right, this year, the number one trend seen on almost all of the catwalks has been painted eyes.

… What now?

Yeah, we know. It sounds weird. And it looks a little weird, too; but boy do we love it. We’d like to thank HBO’s Euphoria for allowing us to dive into the world of makeup and experiment with looks we never thought we’d see. From glitter brows, to rhinestones on our lids, the possibilities are endless.

Paint your eyes

Gosh, we love color. Everywhere. All over the place- on our clothes, our hair, and now, our face! We’re not gonna lie, the most ~adventurous~ we ever got with makeup was maybe a bold lip and a swift cat eye. But now, everyone is experimenting with crazy colors on their lids, allowing for brown eyes to pop and light eyes to glimmer. What we love the most about this trend is that it take a simple look to the next level, no matter what.

For example:

Just look at how cool that is. The way the yellow pops and brightens up her complexion. It’s warm, inviting, and fun. Really, all the things we’re trying to be this fall, to remind us of our #HotGirlSummer past.

Still not convinced?

Hol’ up, we got more commin’ for ya:

The best part about this eye painting trend is that it’s a single color dabbed either all over the lid, or on a corner of your choosing (or wherever you want it, really. The face is yours, so have at it!). Since you’re using one color (or 2, or 3…), you don’t necessarily need an expensive eyeshadow palette to complete the look. All ya need is an individual colored shadow, and you’re good to go. Your wallet will thank you.

One more for good measure:

It looks like all she’s wearing is a bright pink shadow, and it works. It’s the lazy girl’s way of keeping up with trends, and looking like you’re a functioning member of society. In other words, catch us over here at PIAM headquarters dabbing brights on our lids. It’s a party.

XOXO,

PIAM.
